Banstead Federation
About
The Federation was founded in 1948 and is made up of all the Residents' Associations in Reigate and Banstead north of the M25. We are:
- Merstham
- Outwood Lane
- Park Road

Between us we have about 10,000 paid up members and look after the interests of all residents north of the M25, at least 30,000 people.
The Committee meets quarterly and is composed of two officers from each participating Residents' Association plus a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer.
The Committee meets quarterly and is composed of two officers from each participating Residents' Association plus a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer.
Our interests and concerns are those of our members and local residents: Planning, the Green Belt, Infrastructure, Health and Education; the protection and welfare of the community; the good government of the district and the preservation of its amenities. We are also non-political.
Recently we have been involved with the South East Plan and the Core Strategy, part of Reigate and Banstead's Local Development Framework; with planning issues involving Green Belt land within our boundaries, and with the County winter weather policy.
The Federation is a member of the National Organisation of Residents' Associations (NORA) which lobbies the government and others on a wide range of issues affecting residents nationally.
